How Come it's Free?
As a charity, Brahma Kumaris (UK) does not charge for events, courses, web-based activities and facilities we provide. These are offered as a service to the community and are available to everyone.
Our founder, Brahma Baba, created the principle behind our thinking in 1937 when he established a spiritual university for the world. His vision was to provide opportunities for people from all religions & backgrounds to develop their spiritual potential so that they could experience peace, love, and personal empowerment on a daily basis. To do this he trained meditation teachers from all backgrounds to serve every corner of the society free of charge.
All the team who work and present at Global Co-operation House volunteer their time and talents freely. We aim to nurture the very best in ourselves so that we can naturally enjoy sharing something of value with others.
There are, of course, costs involved in offering what we do. People who benefit from our courses, events and web-based activities choose to make contributions to support our work so that others can benefit too.
There are no membership fees.
We are a Registered Charity No. 269971 (England & Wales) / SC040512 (Scotland).
