Wellness... a billion dollar industry involving a wide array of products and services. This highly sought after commodity is in fact, at essence, a state of being. Join longtime meditators and fitness instructors Judi and Tanya Rich, as they share insights and simple practices that have helped them to better understand and experience what it is to truly be well.

Judi Rich formally began her spiritual journey in 1992. From childhood, there had been interest in ‘the bigger questions of life’, and how the answers might contribute to a kinder world. Through the study of Raja Yoga, Judi feels she has not only found the answers she sought, but re-awakened a capacity we all have for deep contentment, peace and inner stability. Judi currently coordinates the Brahma Kuamris activities in Calgary, which is her hometown. She also works as a graphic designer and fitness instructor. It may seem that the intensity & activity of fitness, and the stillness & silence of contemplation are incompatible but Judi has found that the opposite is true...that they actually enhance each other and create a sense of well-being when integrated.

Tanya Rich took up the practice of Raja Yoga 22 years ago, in answer to a rather persistent inner call for greater authenticity in her life, and to find a deeper meaning and purpose. Seeing the need for self-transformation, she saw in spirituality the way to make this happen; not so much to change herself, but to gain the freedom and power to simply be herself. Following an almost two-decades long career in live theatre, Tanya now enjoys helping others build their capacity to ‘let go’—through her work as a Pilates instructor, specializing in movement re-education.
