In a world struggling with opposing forces and divergent influences the need to find a state of balance is becoming more and more urgent. Equilibrium has special meanings in fields such as chemistry, physics, the environment and closer to home, our own physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. How can we understand these sometimes subtle influences and make the necessary adjustments in our daily life and practice?
 
Speaker: Carolin Fraude
Carolin studied educational science, sociology, psychology and philosophy and works for the Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) in Potsdam, Germany. She designs, facilitates and researches reflective dialogue formats for various stakeholders at the UN Climate Change conferences.
 
Since 1998, Carolin has been a teacher of Raja Yoga meditation with the Brahma Kumaris and is the co-coordinator of the BK Centre is Berlin. Since 2013 she has been part of the delegation to UN conferences and is part of the BK Environment Initiative. Carolin’s special interest lies in the interconnectedness of inner and outer transformation, i.e. how transforming and cultivating states of consciousness, attitudes, behaviours and lifestyles can help in the transition towards a sustainable society.
