Join us for a conversation with three guests who share the same study and meditation practice. They come from very different backgrounds, each with their own experiences and perspectives on facing loss.

Marina Cavic
Marina and her mother escaped the war in Bosnia in 1992 and came to the UK as refugees. Responding to a strong pull, Marina returned in 2013 to open the first branch of the Brahma Kumaris in Bosnia Herzegovina and now coordinates BK activities in that country. Marina has a deep love for truth, spreading universal values and practical methods for transformation that can help people become more stable, stronger and more deeply connected to their inner peace. She loves to teach courses in self-respect, stress-free living, authentic communication and meditation.

Lernor Findlay
Lernor was born in Jamaica to hardworking and loving parents who instilled in him the importance of education and along with that, good manners and self-respect. Growing up, he observed the differences between up-town and down-town existence which created a deep interest in how different communities live and the cement which holds them together. Lernor came to the UK aged 21 but within a year received the devastating news that his mother had died, bringing to the surface how much he missed his cultural home. After working in many different occupations Lernor pursued a degree in Social Anthropology leading finally to Social Work in which he worked until retirement. Lernor has been a student of Raja Yoga for over 20 years.

Rosemary Turberville-Smith
Born in England, Rosemary was three when she went to Beirut, Lebanon with her family. Aged 10 they moved to Persia, as Iran was then known, attending the American Community School in Tehran which brought her into contact with a truly multi-national group. Rosemary has spent many years of her life abroad and her work has ranged from being an air hostess to running a busy MP’s business office. Bringing up a family and someone else’s children brought its own set of problems but discovering the Brahma Kumaris gave her a new perspective and focus. Rosemary is currently based at the UK national co-ordinating office where she studies and teaches Raja Yoga meditation and is part of the administration team.

Facilitating the conversation will be Dr Kala Mistry who has been studying Raja Yoga and working in psychiatry for 30 years.
