Situations in life can have a powerful impact on thoughts and feelings, at times leaving us with strong impressions or cycles of negative thought. Repetition of the same ideas can become very time-consuming.
In this workshop and seminar, we will explore how to comprehend and cope with taxing experiences and create space for the mind to be free.
Join us for this afternoon workshop to experiment with self-development tools such as meditation, creative journaling and visualisation.
The presenters will be:
Dr Kala Mistry: Has been studying Raja Yoga and working in mental health since 1992. Currently a community psychiatrist, she has facilitated self-development workshops for health professionals and the public for many years. Kala has been part of several projects since 1998 as a core team member of the Janki Foundation. Hobbies: walking and reading.
Maggie Parle: is 70+ years young and has spent 41 years studying Raja Yoga. She has familiarity of healthcare and social care in the UK, having worked as a Hospital Social Worker for over 27 years. Maggie is a creative and practical person, and an experienced workshop facilitator. Her hobbies include: Appreciation of Wildlife, Gardening and Watercolour painting.
