Spirituality and Men
This month’s topic: Breaking Through The Darkness
How spirituality can help defeat depression, anxiety and stress

The importance of men’s mental health is now more widely acknowledged than ever before. Behind the bravado, distractions like sport, and coping mechanisms such as addiction, many men are quietly struggling with the pressures of modern life. The result? Rising levels of stress, anxiety, and depression.

But what if these challenges could become a gateway to growth? Is there light at the end of the tunnel - and could spirituality help us find it?

Join us (in-house only) for an engaging and interactive afternoon with John McConnel, author of the highly rated book Breaking Through the Darkness, as we explore how spiritual practices can support mental wellbeing and emotional resilience.

John McConnel has worked as a prison governor, social worker and stress management trainer and helped many depressed and/or stressed people in his life, including himself! He has a strong interest in the practical application of spiritual principles and insights in daily life and conducts workshops in this country and abroad on a variety of personal development topics with a view to enabling people to improve the quality of their life and help change the world.
